TRACY, Calif. —
Two children were critically injured after they were struck by a vehicle in Tracy on Halloween night, according to the police department.
Officers responded to the report of pedestrians struck by a vehicle around 8:50 p.m. Friday on Tracy Boulevard between Valpico Road and Sycamore Parkway.
Both children, who police said were younger than teenagers, were taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
It's believed the children were out trick-or-treating at the time of the crash.
Tracy police said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was cooperating with the investigation.
Officials said Tracy Boulevard would be closed in the area as officers investigate the crash.
