We all think of running as a healthy activity, but next weekend’s Run for Health 5K Run/Walk puts the health aspect front and center.
The race is a local favorite in the Nassau Bay area, loved for its scenic course, its profusion of swag-dispensing health-oriented sponsors, and the opportunity to help a local charity. This is the 10th annual Run for Health 5K.
The race begins and ends at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 18220 Upper Bay Road, just off East NASA Parkway. From there, runners and walkers head south along Upper Bay to the shores of Nassau Bay, an inlet of Clear Lake. The course then heads toward David Braun Park and the Lake Nassau Dog Park, running along the land bridge separating Clear Creek from Lake Nassau.
After looping around Lake Nassau, participants head back along Prince
