An Australian woman based in Mumbai shared a heartwarming and rather adventurous experience with her Uber driver in India on Instagram, praising his kindness and hospitality in a post that is winning over social media users.

Bree Steele, in her video, begins by calling Indian Uber drivers “next-level icons,” before narrating an incident that unfolded after she booked a ride home. What should have been a short 15-minute commute turned into a nearly two-hour journey due to traffic caused by Chhath Puja celebrations - and she joked that no one warned her about the festival rush.

Despite being stuck at one spot for almost 30 minutes, her driver made sure the delay didn’t dampen the ride. “He got out, and came back with water for us,” she recalled, adding that he refused to take money for it.
