NEW JERSEY (PIX 11) -- Immigration advocates rallied outside Delaney Hall in Newark Saturday, calling for the release of Ruperto Vicens Marquez, an Atlantic Highlands restaurant owner, who they said has been detained since Oct. 19th despite his pending immigration case and legal work visa.
“The whole situation is outrageous," said Rhoda Sims, who attended the rally.
"There are many, many ways to do this, but just pulling people off the street, I don’t think that’s the way.”
The husband and father of three is originally from Mexico.
