Just one week after Tom Aspinall received a brutal eye poke, the UFC was caught up by a fresh controversy.
But this time, it was Aspinall's famous teammate Ante Delija , who did the poking during his clash with Waldo Cortes-Acosta in Las Vegas.
The UFC champion had himself received a brutal gouge in both eyes from Ciryl Gane during their heavyweight title clash at UFC 321 last week, which saw him unable to continue.
And it was Acosta, who in the same opening round, was victim of the same accidental rule break.
Incredibly, Delija landed what he thought was a left hand on the eye of Acosta which saw the referee step in and break the pair.
The giant Croat thought he had won by stoppage and began celebrating with his team.
