PHOENIX — A woman was killed and others were injured early Saturday morning in a crash involving several vehicles in Phoenix, according to authorities.
Phoenix police responded to the area near 7th Avenue and Thomas Road regarding a three-vehicle crash around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday. When officers got to the scene, they found all three vehicles and multiple people involved in the crash.
Police said one of the drivers, later identified as 21-year-old Trinity Brewer, was pronounced dead at the scene. Brewer was found in the vehicle that had rolled over onto its roof, and she had to be extracted from the vehicle.
Detectives said at this time, they believe the man driving the primary vehicle was driving at a high rate of speed and did not stop at a red light, which is when he hit Brewer's car.
