NEW YORK (PIX11) – Two Powerball tickets worth $50,000 were sold in New York ahead of Saturday’s drawing.
The first ticket was sold at Myrtle & Grove Gas Inc. on Myrtle Avenue in Brooklyn. The second was sold at a 7-Eleven on Atlantic Avenue in Freeport. Both were third-prize-winning tickets.
No one took home the jackpot in Saturday’s drawing – the $419 million prize is still up for grabs. The Mega Millions jackpot is up to $800 million.
At the end of October, a lottery player in Elmira won a $3 million prize, a day after a man in Queensbury won $1,000 a week for life.
