Nolan Bianchi, Richard Silva, John Niyo and Bob Wojnowski of The Detroit News offer predictions for Sunday's game between the Lions and Minnesota Vikings at Ford Field in Detroit (1 p.m., Fox/97.1 ).

▶ Nolan Bianchi: The Vikings appeared to hit rock bottom their last time out, while the Lions are flying high after getting healthy following an emphatic win over the Buccaneers . This would normally be a spot where I'm looking at Minnesota to get off the mat, but with J.J. McCarthy set to make just his third career start, I'm not so sure that's on the docket. Kelvin Sheppard's defense is going to make McCarthy mighty uncomfortable. Detroit's offense, meanwhile, has a legit test — but against a defense it's historically owned, I think a multi-score victory is in store for the Lions.
