Police are investigating after a car was found burning in a field in Woolwich early Sunday morning.
Waterloo Regional Police said they arrived on scene at 2:15 a.m. on Sunday to a vehicle “fully engulfed in flames” in a field near Three Bridges Road in Woolwich.
Fearing the driver may be injured, officers conducted a search with canines and located the driver in a nearby residence.
As a result of the incident, a 47-year-old man from Woolwich faces multiple charges, including unlawfully residing in a dwelling, dangerous operation of a vehicle, failure to remain on scene and driving while under suspension.
