JOHNSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Johnson County Sheriff's Office said a 38-year-old man was charged with attempted first-degree murder after a juvenile was shot on Sunday.
The sheriff's office said officers responded to a shooting on Waters Road in the Laurel community early Sunday after reports that a juvenile had sustained gunshot wounds.
After an investigation, Joshua Houston Upright was charged with the following, according to the sheriff's office: • Attempted First-Degree Murder • Aggravated Child Abuse and Neglect • Aggravated Assault (Domestic Violence)
The sheriff's office said the juvenile was provided immediate medical attention.
