The month of November is bringing a whole new annual arts festival to Belleville.
Officially launched in The Parrott Art Gallery on Saturday, the Belleville Arts Festival will run until November 22.
It’s intended to become an annual event featuring events scattered throughout the month at various arts-related locations arranged by a consortium of local arts groups.
Groups taking part are Belleville Public Library, Glanmore House, The Belleville Theatre Guild, Theatre in the Wings, Belleville Art Association — which prepared a special display of art representing the city’s history — the Hastings County Archives and the Quinte Arts Council, with some funding from the City of Belleville.
Saturday’s event featured a presentation by acclaimed author Charlotte Gray, herself a British expat
