Organizers of the Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward’s Fall Vendor Show couldn’t be happier with the turnout on Saturday as the community came together to kick off the festive season.

Special events coordinator Nadine E. O’Hearn said 18 local artisan’s sold a variety of handcrafted items, with proceeds being donated to the humane society to help cover shelter costs and care for animals waiting for their forever homes.

“This is our launch into the festive season,” said O’Hearn. “We are completely sold out this year for vendor booths. All the funds raised here today go right back into the shelter to support animals in our care.”

Each participating vendor donated one item to a raffle, with all funds going to HPE. At the end of the day on Saturday, 18–20 tickets were pulled.
