JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - In its first game since Billy Napier was fired, the Florida Gators fell to No. 5 Georgia 24-20 at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville.

Georgia (7-1, 5-1 SEC) has now defeated Florida five-straight times.

The Gators (3-5, 2-3 SEC) were led by interim head coach Billy Gonzales, with quarterback coach Ryan O’Hara calling plays.

Florida had 281 yards of offense to Georgia’s 361.

UF quarterback DJ Lagway was 15 for 24 (63%) passing with 166 yards and a touchdown. Eugene Wilson III led all receivers in the game with 121 yards on nine catches with one touchdown.

UGA quarterback Gunner Stockton was 20 for 29 (69%) passing
