VOLGA, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Beacon Hill Rifle and Pistol Club, just outside of Volga, has been around since the 1960s, but it’s in the middle of a three-phase project to upgrade the range itself.
Beacon Hill just completed phase one of the project to extend more opportunities for the local shooting community and youth around the area. When all is done, the range will have five 50-yard bays, two 100-yard bays, and one 200-yard bay for trapshooters.
Beacon Hill is only open Saturdays and Sundays right now. It hopes to complete phase two by the middle of next year, while phase three will follow later.
The gun range hopes to provide its growing club with more opportunities.
“There’s less and less places. It used to be where you can go out to your uncle’s and shoot, shoot any place you
