MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Since the interruption of federal SNAP benefits, also known as FoodShare in Wisconsin, was announced, officials within the Milton School District say they had numerous staff and members of the community contact the district and ask how they can help.

And now, students and staff within the Milton School District are doing just that.

Officials said Sunday that the district will be holding “Milton Meals Matter”, a community grocery drive to help families who need extra assistance, on Nov. 8 and 9.

The grocery drive, coordinated by Milton High School students and staff along with the Milton Food Pantry, will provide groceries directly to families in need in the community.
