GREENWICH, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Jaliek Rainwalker went missing from the Village of Greenwich 18 years ago. On Sunday, the community gathered for a candlelight vigil and called for “Justice for Jaliek”.
Rainwalker’s adoptive father reported him missing to the Cambridge-Greenwich police on November 2, 2007. All these years later and the community is still moved to remember him. His biological mom, Pamela, was in attendance. “I'm here to represent justice for Jaliek,” she said.
Jessica Von Guiness said she lived in the area at the time and remembered it vividly.
“i heard about it just early in the morning when dumpsters were being searched. and i said, why? why are you coming here? and i heard there's a missing child and immediately i'm not a mother. but my gut said there's more to this,” said
