Telangana Bus Accident: As many as 16 people were killed and at least eight others are believed to have been injured as a truck carrying gravel rammed into a state Road Transport Corporation (RTC) bus in Chevella of Telangana’s Vikarabad district early Monday.

The bus was travelling from Tandur to Chevella with at least 40 passengers on the state highway near Chevella on the outskirts of Hyderabad when a truck rammed into it head-on at 7.30 am.

According to the Hyderabad police, the driver of the bus has succumbed to his injuries, apart from eight other passengers who died on the spot. The bus driver, a woman conductor, and other passengers have been taken to a hospital.
