MAYESVILLE, S.C. — With Election Day just days away, voters in Mayesville are preparing to choose two new members for the Town Council.
Four candidates, Rotesha Benjamin, Shameka Hamlin, Janice Prince, and Shirley Wise, are competing for the two open seats. Each said their focus is on improving the quality of life and bringing positive change to the small Sumter County town.
News19 spoke with three of the candidates about their visions and priorities. Benjamin was not available for an interview.
