MUSKEGON, Mich. — Many may agree that the City of Muskegon has been on the move.

But where it's been moving and where it should go next may depend, it seems, on who you ask.

Now, two candidates are vying to lead it: Local businessman Bob Garretson and incumbent Mayor Ken Johnson.

Both candidates shared why they hope to be the next mayor.

"The easy answer is to say it's because I love Muskegon and I think that I can make a difference, and I want to do public service again," Garretson said. "It's how I started my career."
