Two women were killed and two others were injured in a crash Sunday night near Rate Field in Bridgeport.

The crash happened around 9:15 p.m. when a red sedan going east in the 300 block of West 35th Street lost control, crossed the median and was hit by a black SUV, Chicago police said.

Two women in the sedan, 24 and 21, were taken to Stroger Hospital where they were pronounced dead, police said.

The two men in the SUV were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center with injuries not considered life threatening, officials said.
