Two people killed in a fatal crash in Chicago's Bridgeport neighborhood that saw a car jumping a median before being hit by an oncoming vehicle outside Rate Field have been identified.
Chicago police said the crash happened around 9:15 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of West 35th Street.
A red sedan driven by a 24-year-old woman was traveling eastbound when the driver "lost control of the vehicle and crossed over the median," police said.
The sedan was then struck by a black SUV drive by a man traveling westbound on 35th Street.
The 24-year-old drive of the sedan and a 21-year-old woman who was riding in the vehicle were treated at the scene for "trauma to the body" before being transported to Stroger Hospital, where both were pronounced dead.
