GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Greenville has become a popular spot for tourists and now, the numbers are backing it up.

City leaders say tourism had a whopping $2.5 billion impact in Greenville County last year.

Numbers show one in every 25 jobs in Greenville County exists because of visitors. This means, $655 million in personal income for employees in the hospitality industry.

The city council says tourism brings $201 million in tax revenue each year. In 2024, Greenville saw a 15% jump in hotel dollars.

Leaders said the numbers all point to Greenville being a great place to visit, start a career and raise a family.
