WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Overnight, a train derailment happened in along the rail line from roughly 17th Avenue to 56th Avenue in Hutchinson.

As crews work to clear and repair the area, the crossing at 17th Avenue near Walmart is currently closed, and one lane of K-61 from 17th to 30th will also be closed to allow heavy equipment to be transported.

Drivers are urged to use caution in the area, watch for crews and detours, and allow extra time for your morning commute.
