WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - One person was hospitalized following a crash that led to a grass fire Sunday night in Saline County.
The crash happened at around 6 p.m. on eastbound I-70.
A black Hyundai 4-door struck a gray Ford SUV from behind.
According to the Saline County Sheriff’s Office, the Hyundai veered into the ditch on the south side of the highway and sparked a grass fire.
The driver, 21-year-old Lucas Burleson of Abilene, was taken to a Salina hospital. His condition was not provided by the sheriff’s office.
Burleson was cited for following too close and driving at an unsafe speed.
There were no other injuries.
