Three people have been taken to hospital after a Lothian bus collided with a telecommunications mast on Monday morning.
The terrifying incident occurred on Calder Road, in the Sighthill area of the capital, at around 11.15am on November 3.
Emergency services raced to the scene, with paramedics immediately attending to five of the 11 passengers who were on board at the time.
Three of them were taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh to be assessed. The bus driver was not injured.
Images of the aftermath of the smash show the double-decker bus at the side of the road with severe damage to the front of the vehicle. Both the front windscreen and the top front window are smashed.
The front bumper also appears to be hanging off of the vehicle and it appears to have come to a halt clos
