SCOTIA — The Scotia Police Department is investigating a report of a small sewing needle found in a piece of Halloween candy.

Police said they were made aware of a Facebook post alleging a foreign object was found in the candy collected during trick-or-treating, and that the report was made after a parent discovered the object.
