Isaac Brown will be out for Louisville football 's game against California, coach Jeff Brohm said on Monday.
The No. 15-ranked Cardinals' sophomore running back struggled with a lower leg injury during the first half of the season but seemed to have recovered over the past couple of weeks. Brown then went down late in the fourth quarter against Virginia Tech and didn't return, but not before recording his fifth 100-yard rushing performance of the season.
After the game, Brohm said he anticipated Brown would be out "for a little while" and that the Cardinals would need to depend on Keyjuan Brown moving forward. Isaac Brown will be the second running back sidelined for at least the next week with Duke Watson likely to miss a third game. Both have lower leg injuries.
