LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Louisville football is back at home this Saturday, hosting Cal, and the Cardinals will be without a key offensive weapon.

Head coach Jeff Brohm said running back Isaac Brown will be out "for a while," but the team is working to get him back on the field.

Brown has been the leading rusher for Louisville this season by a far margin, totaling 782 yards on the ground from 91 carries. He's averaging 8.6 yards per rush and punched it in five times this season. Louisville's next top rusher is Keyjaun Brown, who's had one more touchdown than Isaac Brown, but has rushed for just 321 yards on 52 carries.

The Cardinals ground game will take a big hit with Isaac Brown out, as Louisville's rushing game hasn't seen much production outside of him and Keyjuan Brown.
