HAMMOND, La. (WVUE) - Last Saturday (Nov. 1), the Southeastern Louisiana University Lions cruised to a 59-14 victory over East Texas A&M (2-7; 2-3 SLC) in the crisp autumn air.
Easy results have been commonplace both in Hammond, America, and on the road for the Lions, who mounted a 35-0 score by halftime. With the win, the team improved to 7-2 and is 5-0 in the Southland Conference.
“We played really well in all three phases tonight,” Southeastern head coach Frank Scelfo said in the postgame. “We were really pleased with the execution and the way we took care of the football. When you have the opportunity to start fast, you have to keep your foot on the gas, and I thought we did a great job of that tonight.”
That 7-2 record is also the best of all college football teams in Louisiana. Th
