BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The father of deceased LSU student Madison Brooks has amended and refiled a civil lawsuit tied to his daughter’s death and alleged sexual assault.

In the original civil lawsuit filed in the Baton Rouge District Court in September 2023, Brooks’ father sought to sue the four men who police arrested tied to Brooks’ alleged sexual assault, the employees and owner of the now-shuttered Reggie’s Bar in Tigerland where Brooks was reportedly served alcohol while underage, and the ride-share driver who hit Brooks while she walked along Burbank Drive.
The amended lawsuit filed Monday, November 3, 2025, only lists the four young men who were initially arrested after the assault as defendants.
