INDIANAPOLIS -- Indiana state lawmakers have provided a timeline of when they are expected to start the conversation surrounding redistricting.

According to a statement from Indiana House Speaker Todd Huston, a Republican from Fishers, the Indiana General Assembly is expected to address redistricting, as well as federal and state tax compliance, during the first two weeks of December.

Huston said that these conversations would be a part of the 2026 regular session and not a separate special session. This comes after Organization Day kicks off the 2026 regular session of the Indiana General Assembly on Nov. 18.

According to previous reports, Indiana Gov. Mike Braun called a special session last month to address both redistricting and tax-related compliance.
