PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - In response to the recent interruption in SNAP benefits, Burgerville is offering support to families in need this week, from Nov. 3 through Nov. 9.
The Pacific Northwest burger chain will offer a free kids cheeseburger basket to children from families currently receiving SNAP benefits.
On Monday morning, President Donald Trump’s administration said it will partially fund SNAP after a pair of judges’ rulings on Friday, Oct. 31 required it to keep the food aid program running.
It’s not clear how much beneficiaries will receive, or how quickly beneficiaries will see money show up on the debit cards they use to buy groceries.
Each basket from Burgerville includes an original cheeseburger or hamburger, kids fries, and a kid’s soft drink. Families can visit any Burge
