Robbers held up the driver of an armored truck outside a bank in Clinton, Maryland, Monday morning, police say.

Several men, including an armed suspect, went up to the armored truck and assaulted the driver about 8:30 a.m. at the Navy Federal Credit Union on Woodyard Road, Prince George's County police said.

The suspects got a substantial amount of money before taking off in a car, police said. Authorities didn't say exactly how much money the men stole.

The armored truck driver was treated at the scene for his injuries, police said.

Investigators are still searching for the suspects.
