UTICA, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) -- An assault on Wall Street has resulted in the arrest of a Utica man on Friday, according to Utica Police.

Police were called to the 100 block of Wall Street on Wednesday, October 29 regarding the domestic incident. Upon their arrival, they spoke with the female victim, who stated that her child's father -- 24-year-old Dominic Cambry of Utica -- had engaged in an argument. When the argument escalated, the victim attempted to distance herself from Cambry.

When the victim entered another room in the residence, Cambry came from behind and attempted to choke her with a cord. The victim was eventually able to escape, but not before Cambry struck her with a belt. He then attempted to choke the victim again by placing the belt around her neck.
