Panionios Cosmorama Travel has strengthened its roster ahead of the EuroCup stretch by signing American guard Keron DeShields and Greek center Kostas Gontikas for the rest of the 2024–25 season.

DeShields (1.91 m, 32) arrives in Nea Smyrni with a rich résumé that spans Europe, South America, and the Middle East . The well-traveled guard has competed in Italy, Hungary, Israel, Greece, Lithuania, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, Argentina, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon , while also representing Syria at the international level.

He previously played in Greece with Rethymno Cretan Kings during the 2017–18 season and recently showcased his form at the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup , averaging 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 5.3 assist
