MALAKOFF, Texas (KLTV) - The Malakoff Tigers host the Winnsboro Red Raiders with the 2-seed in district play on the line in our Red Zone Game of the Week.
Malakoff and Winnsboro have played six times in the past 20 years, with three of those matchups happening in the playoffs. Malakoff has won the last four meetings against the Red Raiders, including a 35-28 win in Winnsboro last season.
Winnsboro Head Coach Josh Finney and the Red Raiders sit with an 8-1 record this year and are coming off of their bye week. Winnsboro lost to Commerce on Sep. 26, but have won four games in a row since then. Finney says the team got back to the basics after the Commerce loss.
