LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - A Cameron Parish sheriff’s deputy has been fired after he was arrested on domestic abuse charges in Lake Charles.
Carson Antonio Walker, 24, and a woman got into an argument that turned physical in a home around 2 a.m. Saturday, Lake Charles Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Brad Puckett said. The victim had non-life-threatening injuries.
Walker was arrested on charges of domestic abuse battery and domestic abuse battery: intentional use of force with a dangerous weapon.
Walker was immediately placed on administrative leave and later terminated, Cameron Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson David French said. French said they are fully cooperating with LCPD’s investigation.
