Meta has announced a new update for Facebook Groups that gives admins more flexibility to grow their communities while maintaining the privacy of existing members. The company is rolling out an option that lets group admins convert a private Facebook Group to public, without compromising content or member privacy.

“We know that group admins want more tools to grow and manage their communities, and we’re listening to your feedback,” Meta said in a blog post. “Today, we’re starting to roll out a new update that gives private group admins the option to change a group from private to public. This unlocks new opportunities for growth and connection while keeping member privacy and previously shared content protected.”
