KENT — Kent State will tip off the 2025-26 men's college basketball season tonight at home against Troy. Tip-off from the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center is at 7 p.m.

Head coach Rob Senderoff's Golden Flashes are coming off a 24-12 season. Kent State advanced to the semifinals of the Mid-American Conference Tournament and reached the quarterfinals of the National Invitation Tournament .

Kent State-Troy season opener part of MAC-Sun Belt Challenge

Kent State and the other 12 Mid-American Conference teams will play Sun Belt Conference teams in tonight's season openers.

The Flashes and Troy squared off in the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge during the 2023-24 season. Troy beat Kent State 78-68.
