LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The Nebraska volleyball team remains the clear No. 1 in this week’s AVCA Coaches Poll — and now, it’s unanimous.
The Huskers (22-0) earned all 61 first-place votes, marking the first time this season they’ve received a clean sweep atop the rankings. Nebraska has held the No. 1 spot every week so far, but until now, the team had shared a few first-place votes with Texas.
That changed after the Longhorns went 0-2 last week, allowing the undefeated Huskers to stand alone at the top.
Texas went to five sets in a loss to Texas A&M before getting swept by Kentucky at home.
Nebraska will look to keep its perfect season alive Thursday when it hosts Illinois at the Devaney Center.
