EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — The Downtown Evansville Improvement District (DEID) is gearing up for the holiday season with festive decorations across key pedestrian corridors.

This year marks the eighth annual holiday decoration effort by DEID, with funding from local property owners. On Monday, November 3rd, the 200 Block of Main Street will temporarily close at 7 a.m. for archway decoration.

Highlights include the Tunnel of Light featuring 13,930 lights at Old National Bank's headquarters, set for installation on Monday, November 10th. New this year is the Spool of Lights, showcasing 18 oversized vintage-style light bulbs on the 100 Block of Main.

Additional attractions include a Chandelier Tree with 17 chandeliers, custom painted 12-foot nutcrackers, and a 10-foot Christmas tree on Main
