HENDERSON, Ky. (WEVV) — Kentucky is celebrating a milestone in the development of a major interstate bridge connecting Henderson and Evansville.
Gov. Andy Beshear was in Henderson to mark the completion of a key section of the Interstate 69 Ohio River Crossing.
Gov. Beshear joined local and state officials to cut the ribbon on Section 1 of the project.
The new roadway connecting the U.S. 41 and U.S. 60 interchanges is expected to ease traffic, improve safety, and shorten travel times for drivers in the region.
Officials highlighted the project's potential to bring jobs, investments, and economic growth to the area by providing a critical interstate connection between Kentucky and Indiana.
