IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - Iowa City is launching a food drive to support the CommUnity Crisis Services and Food Bank as the government shutdown continues.

The food drive begins November 4 amid uncertainty about SNAP benefits. The city expects demand at local food banks to increase dramatically this season.

Animal Care and Adoption Center, 3910 Napoleon Lane

City Hall Front Lobby, 410 E. Washington Street

Fire Station 2, 301 Emerald Street

Fire Station 4, 2008 N. Dubuque Street

Iowa City Landfill and Recycling Center, 3900 Hebl Avenue

Iowa City Municipal Airport, 1801 S. Riverside Drive

Iowa City Public Library, 123 S. Linn Street

Iowa City Streets Division, 1200 S. Riverside Drive

Mercer Aquatic Center, 2701 Bradford Drive
