HILTON HEAD/BLUFFTON, SC (WSAV) - Food pantries around our area are already seeing an influx of new clients who are in need or more food.
At least one local agency said they are also seeing something else come in, more donations.
WSAV was there as the Deep Well Project on Hilton Head Island got a truckload of donated food from the Palmetto Hall Plantation Women's Club.
They donated more than 3,800 pounds in all, enough to provide at least a week's worth of groceries to 35 families.
"People realize that right now in our country that the prices are high, it's difficult," said Chairwoman of the Palmetto Hall Women's Association Judy Guillem.
