Turkey Talk: Penquis joins WABI to discuss fundraising goal for families in need on Thanksgiving

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Community Comes Together to Bring Thanksgiving to Every Table.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, a time when families gather, share meals, and give thanks. For many local households, however, the holiday can bring more stress than celebration. To help ease that burden, community partners are once again joining forces to make sure everyone can enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.

This year’s goal is ambitious: to provide 5,500 households with turkeys and the comfort of a holiday meal. For the past eight years, Penquis has coordinated this large-scale effort, distributing donations through a network of more than 40 local food pantries.
