KARLSTAD, Minn. — The Kittson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man inside his home.
The sheriff’s office told WDAY on Monday, Nov. 3, that it does not know when answers will be available and admitted it may be a few more days.
More than 48 hours after a well-known community member was found dead following a frantic 911 call, residents of Karlstad are still wondering about their safety.
“We would like to really know what happened,” said Wyman Hjelle, a Karlstad resident.
Kittson County sheriff’s deputies returned to the home on state Highway 11 on Monday afternoon.
“Peaceful little town, this doesn’t happen in Karlstad, Minnesota, now it did,” said Danny Johnson, another local resident.
The investigation began just after 1 a.m. Satu
