KANSAS CITY, Kan. —

Police have identified the woman shot and killed early Saturday morning in Kansas City, Kansas.

The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department said Monday the victim is Anna Juarez, 20, of KCK Advertisement

Officers responded to the 700 block of North 11th Street just before 4:30 a.m. Saturday after reports of gunfire near North 11th Street and Barnett Avenue.

Juarez was found outside a home with gunshot wounds. She was taken to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

Police said a person of interest is now in custody as the investigation continues.
