ALLIANCE, Ohio (WOIO) - A 42-year-old Alliance man was arrested after police say he robbed the Huntington Bank at West State Street around Monday morning.
Mason entered the bank around 9:20 a.m. and allegedly said he had a weapon and demanded money.
He took off on foot with around $400 in one-dollar bills eastbound on West State Street.
Alliance Police Officers flooded the area and found Mason walking on South Union Avenue near State Street. He had changed his clothes and had pockets full of one-dollar bills.
Police said Mason moved to Alliance five days ago from Akron and has an extensive criminal history.
This marks the first bank robbery in Alliance since 2010, which was also solved.
There have been no unsolved bank robberies in Alliance post 2000.
Mason was taken to the Stark Co
