CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - When Winnie Dortch wasn’t in front of the camera telling compelling news stories of people in the community, the respected, hard-working former 19 News Reporter, friend, and colleague was struggling at home in silence.

“I wanted a happy family. I wanted to land my dream job. I wanted to be a great mom. It’s not fair. None of this is fair,” expressed Winnie Dortch.

The Chicago native and mother says she’s decided to share her story with 19 News anchor Tiffani Tucker as part of her therapy to try to heal from what she describes as the worst day of her life!

“I fought for my life during the relationship and at the end at the last second.” For me, I survived, and so I want to let other people know they can survive too," Dortch explained.
