CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - It was a chaotic scene on Chase Avenue in a quiet Lakewood neighborhood.
“I just remember Winnie saying he has a gun,” expressed a witness who tried to help Winnie.
19 News Reporter Winnie Dortch was shot five times lying on the sidewalk.
“We found the victim bleeding from the face,” described Lakewoood Police Captain Frank Eschweiler.
Winnie’s mom Loretta, called 9-1-1. “My daughter’s being attacked,’ yelled Loretta Dortch.
The witness tried to help when he heard Winnie screaming.
Bryant, the father of Winnie’s daughter Kaelie pointed pointed at him.
“God this can’t be it,” expressed Dortch.
Bryant was on the ground with a gun. He was lying next to their daughter’s locked-down daycare building.
